Il existe de nombreux exemples tels que les vitrages en PMMA pour les serres, les toits de terrasses de jardin, les feux arri\u00e8re des voitures et les rev\u00eatements architecturaux \u00e0 base de m\u00e9thacrylate. Ne sono esempio, tra i tanti, le vetrature in PMMA per le case ecologiche, le terrazze-giardini pensilii, le luci posteriori delle automobili e i rivestimenti architettonici a base di metacrilato. In alternativa, questo acido solforico usato pu\u00f2 essere trasformato in solfato di ammonio, un prezioso fertilizzante, in modo che la stessa molecola di acido solforico sia usata per fabbricare due prodotti.<\/p>\n<p>Quando viene riscaldato in condizioni appropriate, il PMMA si scinde nuovamente nel suo monomero originale, l&#8217;MMA. Questo processo, noto come depolimerizzazione, \u00e8 usato industrialmente per riciclare il PMMA e produrre l\u2019MMA, il quale pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato nuovamente.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;MMA riciclato dal PMMA ha livelli di purezza molto alti.
